Kate Weinberg


Kate has more than 15 years’ experience in the areas of sustainability, ESG, corporate purpose, stakeholder engagement, communications and responsible business. 

Kate supports organisations on their sustainability journey. In-house and as a consultant, Kate has led sustainability transformations, developing and delivering strategy, communications and organisational change. Previously, she was Director of Sustainability at OVO, where she created, delivered and communicated OVO’s Plan Zero strategy to inspire and engage consumers, employees and broader stakeholders, leading significant organisational change and successfully positioning the business as a leader in the energy transition. Prior to that, Kate was a sustainability strategy consultant, working with clients on climate change and net zero, ESG reporting, nature and biodiversity and the circular economy. 

Her early career was in environmental law, advising on developing environmental and energy law and policy, before co-founding a non-profit to provide legal advice and build capacity in developing countries in relation to the UNFCCC negotiations. Kate has an MSc in Environmental Technology (Imperial College, London) and an MA Natural Sciences (Cambridge). She is a Trustee of the OVO Foundation.
