Benet Northcote


Benet was Director of Sustainability for the John Lewis Partnership for seven years, during which time he delivered major change to embed best-practice sustainability programmes across Waitrose and John Lewis. He joined John Lewis following nearly five years as HRH The Prince of Wales’ Deputy Private Secretary, where he was responsible for HRH’s initiatives on responsible business, the natural environment, food, and farming. Prior to that he was Chief Policy Advisor to Greenpeace UK. 

Benet started his career at the BBC before moving to corporate communications agency CTN Ltd where his clients included FTSE 100 firms, top consumer brands, NGOs, and Governments. Benet worked on the Quality of Life Policy group, established by David Cameron, is the Deputy Chair of the Conservative Environment Network and a trustee of both Green Alliance and the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology.
